Tech. Sgt. Ralph W. Peters was in the Air Corps as a gunnery instructor at Kingman AZ. In 1945 he was sent to the 8th Air Force, assigned to the 446th Bomb Group, which was flying B-24s.
He made one bombing mission, an eight hour flight to Bayruth, Germany and was shot up on the return flight. The airplane and crew made a safe return.
Ralph now lives in Falls City, NE. He drives his 8th Air Force-decorated golf cart in local parades.
