Vasil John Pepi
My father was an early century immigrant, about 1904, when there were horses, buggies, and trolley cars. There were very few automobiles in New York City. He was always fascinated with technological progress. When Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic, that was a great day. He bought us a record which we played on our RCA victrola. I brought the record to school, in first grade. "Lucky Lindbergh in the sky" is all I remember. His great granddaughter is a flyer in the field of aviation. How proud he would be of Maureen. Deceased 1943, before his time.
