    Walter Fellman was a F-86 combat pilot in Korea. He was assigned to the 336th Squadron, 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing, 5th Air Force at Kimpo, Korea. “Friendly” worked his way from wingman to element “lead” in 34 combat missions and “leader” by the 54th mission. By the end of the war his score was 4 Mig 15 confirmed “kills,” two “probable kills,” and 2 “damaged.”

    He returned to Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, as a Fighter Gunnery and Aerial Tactics Instructor. Later he served as a “reserve” pilot with the 123rd Squadron of the Oregon Air National Guard, Portland, Oregon. Walter died 2/2/1999.
