Enlisted 2 Mar 1951 in USAF. Accepted for Aviation Cadet training 1953; graduated “Distinguished Graduate” 2 Jul 1954. After gunnery training at Nellis AFB, NV, assigned to Chaumont AB, France (48th Fighter-Bomber Wing) for 3-year tour.
In 1955 selected to fly the slot position on USAFE “Skyblazers” precision aerobatic demo team. Reassigned to CONUS in 1957 to Clovis AFB, NM flying F-100s. Further reassigned to Itazuke AB, Japan, flying F-105s in 1961. Combat in F-105s in 1964-1965; reassigned to Hq Tactical Air Command in 1966. Further combat as Director, Air Battle Staff, 1971-1972. Retired in 1972.
