Honored by:
1920-1930 pilot. Owned airport in Deal, NJ. Primarily flew a Savoia Marchetti push/pull prop flying boat.
In late 1920s flew airmail for Mexican government out of Mexico City. Aircraft and operation was nationalized during a change in government.
In World War II, served in the Third Marine Air Wing as a lieutenant. Taught air/sea rescue techniques to Marine pilots. Was not permitted to fly due to color blindness. Was stationed at Pearl Harbor.
