    Wayne G. Johnson served as a fighter pilot, flying the P-40 Warhawk and P-51 Mustang in the 75th Fighter Squadron and 118th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron with the Flying Tigers-14th Air Force in China in WWII.
    He is past President and serves on the Board of Directors of the Flying Tigers-14th Air Force Association and presently serves as Secretary of the Museum Committee for the Flying Tigers exhibit at the Museum of Aviation, Warner-Robins, Georgia.
    Johnson is the Editor of the four volume history Chennault 's Flying Tigers. He was named Mr. Aviation of Minnesota in 1968 for exceptional service to aviation and was inducted into the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame in 2001.
