In about 1930 at age 13 Web Moore with two contemporary friends built and flew a primary glider in his home town of Oklahoma City. During his college years at Purdue, from which he earned an Aeronautical Engineering Degree, he designed and built a secondary glider with fellow members of the college soaring club, of which he was the founder and first president. Then during his career with Cessna in Wichita he continued serving as mentor to others such as myself.
