Welch Pogue was a docent at the National Air & Space Museum from 1982 to 1995.
He was General Counsel to the Civil Aeronautics Authority (later called CAB) from 1939-1942. He was appointed Chairman of the CAB by President Roosevelt in 1942 and continued through the end of WWII.
His contributions are listed in Who’s Who in America 1999, 52nd Edition. He was Docent Emeritus at the Museum.
