He was the best uncle a person could have. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Army Air Corps in the CBI Theatre with 44 combat missions “Flying the Hump”. He flew a C-47 named after his wife, my aunt. He taught flying after the war in Baird, Texas and retired from General Dynamics after 20 years service.
