    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Leader

    Honored by:

Very interested in aviation and space operations. Started with balsa, paper and glue (and rubber bands) model building in teens. Soloed at Rochester, NY before enlisting in Navy in January 1941. Served at Naval Air Station (Rodd Field and Waldron Field) before volunteering for sea duty. Served aboard small carrier Lunga Point, CVE 94 until end of WWII. Then "Moth Ball" Fleet at Tacoma, WA until discharged Jan 1947 after six years in Navy. While at Tacoma I soloed again but never did go for private license.
Married Dec, 1946 and Aviation career ended. But not my interest in anything that flies.
