    Service in U. S. Army Air Corps, then United States Air Force, 1943 -1969. Combat tour in China as B-24 Navigator in 14th AF during WWII. 400+ combat hours. Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. Pilot Training 1946-1947(Class of 47-c First Pilot Class in the new USAF. 18 years (1947-1965) in Strategic Air Command during Cold War, flew B-29s, B-50s, and B-47s. retired august 1969. Member of Air Force Association, Hump Pilots Assn., 14th Air Force Assn. and 2nd Bomb Wing Assn.
