William's dream of flight began as a very young boy growing up in York, PA and helping with the mail planes that picked up mail in York. After being in the Korean War he returned home to realize his dream of flying by soloing in Piper PA-11 #N4787M on May 16th 1957. He got his Private License in a Champ 7 FC #9066B on June 22nd 1958. During the next 20 years he took many people on their first plane ride and instilled in me a love for aviation. He died May 23, 2002.
