    B/G William F.Casey: ( 1928-2013) Bill was born and raised in Delaware and entered Aviation cadets in 1948 and he completed advanced fighter training at Williams AFB in the P-80B in 1949 and Commissioned a 2ndLT in the USAF. One year later Bill was flying combat missions in the P-80 from inside the narrow Pusan perimeter. Bill actually bombed Kunsan AB in 1950 and in 1968-69 was station there with the Ohio ANG in the F-100C
    Bill returned to the states as a 1stLT after completing his combat tour having received the DFC and several Air Medals. Bill was station at Shaw AFB and later Langley where he bailed out of an F-84 with engine failure over Hampton Roads, VA. Bill rotated to Wethersfield AB, England for 2 years on Nuke alert and returned to the States in 1953 and was discharged.
    Bill returned to college at the University of Delaware earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1956. While in College for four years Bill flew F-86's as a member of the 142nd FS of the Delaware ANG. After College Bill moved to Columbus Ohio for his second engineering job and eventually worked for North American Aviation in the factory where many of the F-100C models were built. Bill did classified work on the RA5C Vigilante . Eventually he joined the Ohio ANG at Lockbourne AFB and Flew F-100C's for 11 years and later new A7D's as 121st Tactical Wing Commander in the Ohio ANG. Bill was called up in 1968 when the USS Pueblo was captured by North Koreans and served for over a year in Korea in the 354th Tac Ftr Wing, Bill flew CAP, Combat Air Patrol, sorties protecting USAF Elint Aircraft from being attacked by North Korean Jet fighters. Bill also served as 166th TFS operations officer during the year at Kunsan AB, Korea.
    Bill's job took him to California in 1982 and Bill retired as a B/G in the Ohio ANG. Bill is married to Jackie and they had two children. Bill retired to Phoenix enjoying golf and many military friends. Bill could best be described as a handsome, genuine gentleman who was a real patriot for this country. Bill passed away in 2013 and is interred in the veterans cemetery at Carefree, AZ.
