William H. Fenter (second from left in picture) was born on September 6, 1936. He was fascinated with flight and aviation from a young age. As a child during World War II, he collected books about warplanes, built models and was interested in anything to do with flight. This led him to go to Purdue University and seek a degree in an aviation related field. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Aviation Technology. He went on to a 30-year career in the commercial airline business. His love of flight continued until his death on November 27, 2002.
