    Lt Gen William H. Ginn Jr. USAF (Ret.)

    LtGen William Henry Ginn, Jr, USAF (Ret) (September 21, 1928 – June 1, 2010) was a distinguished military command pilot with over 7,000 hours in every type of aircraft. Flew over 300 combat missions in Vietnam.

    Holds Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross (2), Air Medal with 12 Oak Leaf Clusters and Navy Gold Star.

    Commanded U.S. Forces Japan and Fifth Air Force -- responsible for all air campaigns in Japan and Korea. Holds highest Japanese award and Vietnamese Gallantry Cross.

    Served also in Korea in 1954 and holds Order of Daedalians (military aviation fraternity), Muir S. Fairchild Award, and was knighted in London. Responsible for operational readiness and training of Allied Command Europe under Supreme Allied Commander, Europe (SACEUR).
