    William H. Neuschaefer served honorably in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 as an Electronics Technician Mate 2nd Class. Afterward he attended the University of Colorado earning degrees in electrical engineering and business.

    Early in his career William H. Neuschaefer became a licensed Professional Engineer but primarily managed programs and proposals. He worked in aerospace for Martin Company/Martin Marietta from 1957 to 1990. He was involved with many programs including Titan, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz, and the Space Shuttle. He managed the Martin Marietta office at the Johnson Space Center from 1969 until 1974. Bill was among the great dreamers who helped propel American space exploration. He was a recipient of a NASA Silver Snoopy and a NASA Program Office Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Skylab Program.

    Upon retirement he taught courses in program management and later became actively involved in excavating and managing archeological endeavors in the US Southwest.
