My father was born in 1921. He grew up in Minnesota during the Great Depression.

He proudly served in the Navy during World War II. He saw a lot of action in the South Pacific. My father saw, in action, a lot of aircraft that the museum will hold. He would tell me stories about seeing B-24s, B-17s, and B-29s fly over his ship. I'm very proud of what my father did and saw. That is why I want to honor him at the museum.
