Began flying lessons at age of 12.

Enlisted USN 1944.

Assigned to aircraft repair.

Transferred to USAF 1952.

QC for transport sqd.

Graduated OCS 1953.

1962 became part of fledgling Air-Sea Rescue to support space missions.

Retired as Capt. 1964.

Took on volunteer status with various search & rescue organizations. Eventually restarted a CAP sqd. Spent many hours flying and coordinating missions until his retirement in 1995.
