Bill has loved airplanes all his life. In his years of working as a physicist, he contributed on programs related to aircraft and missile navigation, strategic missile defense, and air traffic control.
His major interest and pastime always have been the study of the design, evolution, and history of aircraft.
He spent many after-work and weekend hours, while working in Washington, D.C. in the wonderful Air & Space Museum on the Mall.
