    Captain William R. Bradfleld distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Forward Air Controller the Republic of Vietnam, on 22 April 1966. On that date, Captain Bradfield directed tactical aircraft in the support of friendly troops pinned down by automatic weapons fire. With disregard for his personal safety Captain Bradfleld flew his unmanned aircraft repeatedly over the opposing force. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Bradfield reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

    TO WILLIAM R. BRADFIELD
    Captain William R. Bradfield distinguished himself by heroism while participating in aerial flight as a Forward Air Controller in Southeast Asia on 7 July 1969. On that date, Captain Bradfield flew to the aid of a friendly company which was surrounded and pinned down by a large hostile force. Captain Bradfield successfully directed tactical airpower against the aggressor, who constantly fired at his small aircraft. Because of his superior airmanship, the friendly company was relieved of the hostile pressure and was able to gain the offensive. The outstanding heroism end selfless devotion to duty displayed by Captain Bradfield reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

    Captain William R. Bradford distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight on 24 April 1968, On that date, Captain Bradfield flew a vitally important mission into the A shau valley to seek out and destroy hostile firing positions. Due to his professional airmanship and disregard for his own safety, friendly forces were able to move into the valley and secure it. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Bradfield reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
