    Born: Berkeley, CA, January 4, 1919. Lifelong passion for aviation. Scratch built model builder as a boy. Worked at
    Lockheed Vega, Fairchild, and finally a vice president at
    Northrop. Fellow AIAA member over 50 years. Chairman, Lighter than Air Technical Committee, president Los Angeles section.
    Taught at Cal Tech during World War II.
