On Friday, October 9, eleven teachers from across the country launched medium altitude balloons in a coordinated launch! Since the launch, these balloons have traveled thousands of miles and have been tracked over Ireland, Spain, and Italy. (And one has even flown around the world!) Tune in to hear from experts in the field and students who participated in the experiment and learn about this student project, the weather involved in taking these high-flying travelers, and how students can get involved in similar opportunities. Track the balloons that were part of the launch.
Tune in to the webcast on this page or watch on Facebook Live on the National Air and Space Museum Facebook page.
