Amelia Earhart disappeared 85 years ago. At the time of her disappearance, the US Navy and Coast Guard searched an area roughly the size of Texas but never found any trace of her, her navigator Fred Noonan, or her airplane. Today the search continues using modern technology and new leads. In this episode of our educational webcast series STEM in 30 we'll take a look at Amelia Earhart's achievements, disappearance, the continuing efforts to find her, and the women who have been inspired by her.
The episode will premiere on the National Air and Space Museum YouTube channel on March 3, 2022.
