Learn about Moon landings past and future during this month's Soar Together at Air and Space family day! Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 17, the last Apollo Moon-landing mission. Discover what we learned during this Moon mission, and explore how the Moon missions impacted families around the world. Learn more about Artemis, the next lunar-landing mission set to launch in 2024.
 
Activities include:

  • 1:00 pm film screening of "One Small Visit" by director Jo Chim, following by a Q&A led by National Air and Space Museum curator Teasel Muir-Harmony (reservations required to attend film screening)
  • Demonstrations and hands-on explorations
  • Conversations and Q&As about lunar science with scientists from the Museum's Center for Earth and Planetary Studies
  • Shapes on the Moon art activity
  • "Train like an Astronaut" activities
