Gather outside the Udvar-Hazy Center to watch the solar eclipse with other excited sky-gazers. The Museum will provide safe solar telescopes and projection viewers to help you watch the Moon slowly block most of the Sun.

Programming will take place outside the main entrance and near the Wall of Honor.

The eclipse will be visible in the Washington, DC, area between 2:04 pm and 4:32 pm. Maximum eclipse will be at 3:20 pm, with the Sun 87% covered by the Moon.

We recommend that visitors bring their own eclipse glasses to the event. Please check the resources listed on our solar eclipse deep dive for information on how to obtain safe eclipse glasses or solar viewers.
