The National Air and Space Museum holds the most comprehensive collection of aeronautical and space-related art in the world.

There are approximately 7,000 works in the collection with pieces by notable artists including:

  • Henry Casselli  
  • Annie Leibovitz 
  • Norman Rockwell 
  • Alma Thomas 

The new Flight and the Arts Center will explore the relationships between art and the transformative power of the experience of flight through both the display of our permanent collection and new and engaging temporary exhibitions. The first exhibition in the Flight and the Arts Center will feature works from Richard Estes, Audrey Flack, Francisco Goya, Morris Graves, and Man Ray, among others.
