Marcel Jurca was a Romanian-born pilot who flew for the Luftwaffe during World War II before defecting to France. During the 1950s Jurca designed the single-seat, wood-and-fabric aerobatic Jurca MJ-2 Tempête (Tempest) (Homebuilt). Jurca went on to build a number of homebuilts, including the Jurca MJ-77 (3/4 Mustang).
