Scope and Contents

This collection consists of two (2) envelopes addressed to Thomas N. Dysart and one (1) annotated calling card from Harold M. Bixby. The first envelope is postmarked December 1935 and includes First Flight postage stamps and an ink stamp of the air mail route from Manila, Philippines to the United States; it was sent by Bixby with his calling card. The second envelope, postmarked May and June of 1936, was sent via Zeppelin air mail on LZ 129 Hindenburg with Nazi Party as well as Hindenburg postage stamps; it was likely sent by Charles A. Lindbergh, but his letter is not included in the collection.
