Hand colored engraving on paper. The first balloon to carry human beings on a free flight, built for the Montgolfier brothers by workmen at the Revillon paper works in Paris and flown by Pilatre de Rozier and Francois Laurent from the garden of the Chateau de la Muete on November 21, 1783.
