Descente d'Abasalon, circa 1880-1900. Color lithograph circus-type poster of aerobat Miss Stena. She is seen hanging from balloon by her hair. Male and female aerobats perform from trapezes which seem to be supported by other balloons and each other, on either side of Miss Stena. Another female performer in white seems to mimic the central image, hanging from a similar balloon as Miss Stena. Rural landscape of hills and water are in the background of the performers. A portrait of Miss Stena decorates the central red and white striped balloon. The poster itself is lined with a heavy fabric. Lithograph.
