Drawing, Felt Tip Pen on Paper, GORDON COOPER EMERGES FROM HANGAR
Felt tip pen drawing on paper. Gordon Cooper Emerges from Hangar, 5/14/63. A crowd of loosely sketched figures gathers outside the opening to Hangar S as astronaut Gordon Cooper emerges. The area directly in front of the opening appears to be roped off. Some cameras on tripods are identifiable among the crowd, and a vehicle with a camera on top is on the right side. On the left side of the hangar are the NASA logo and the label "Manned Spacecraft Center." Two bright lights are on top of the hangar, and a large "S" is in the upper right on the hangar. The night sky is filled with dense vertical strokes. Writing in the lower left reads: "Cape Canaveral." Writing in the lower right reads: "Gordon Cooper emerges from Hangar "S". 5/14/63."
