Campers Watching Lift-Off Apollo 16, April 1972. Two palm trees enclose the scene of a crowd of people observing the lift-off. The peninsula-like extension of land forms a "C" shape in the center, with the people, campers, and tents clustered along the shore. The rocket has just taken off and is visible in the center of the horizon. The Vehicle Assembly Building is to the left of the launch. The entire piece is light drawn, making the details somewhat difficult to discern.
