    Cylindrical, with sharp conical warhead; warhead top bound to body by gores and bound with twine for about 8 inches; top part of guide stick secured to lower half of body with three equidistant sheet iron straps. Stick, n-shaped with top of n-facing outward and other side of stick contoured to fit side of bodyby cylinder; stick gradually tapered downwards to much larger thickness at bottom. Rocket body flat on bottom, with one central exhaust hole in center, but not seen in display; fabric covering holes around nose cone and around upper section of body, beneath nosecone, for holding in the incendiary composition and also providing a burning exit for this composition once the rocket struck its target. Overall, painted black, with white lettering and varnished light brown guide stick. Words, painted in white, around middle of body, "100 pr Rocket Congreve A.D. 1815" [repainted to match original style of lettering during restoration of specimen]. Sheet iron body; fabric covering on part of warhead; wood guidestick; twine wrapping around warhead and part of guidestick
