Rocket Motor, Solid Fuel, 12NS-350, JATO (Jet Assisted-Take-Off) Unit
Cylindrical, with round end and smaller cylinder protruding from it, with built-in nozzle and two smaller protruding cylinders adjacent to nozzle, each with five-sided nuts attached; flat at other end of main JATO cylinder, with screw off plugs, with six-side nut with numbers on sides of this nut (see Marks); single male pin in center of this plug that served as the electrical igniter connection; silver foil rectangular label, with red printing, attached along side of JATO cylinder (see Marks), but partly peeling off although still exhibitable overall; overall, glossy white except for foil label; corrosion on inside (flaking) but otherwise stable and exhibitable; mainly needs cleaning and reattachment of foil label.
