Rocket Motor, Solid Fuel, Mercury Retro, also Designated TE-316
Cylindrical, mainly steel, with protruding exhaust nozzle affixed at end from recessed bottom; recessed on top. Black with painted yellow strip around lower periphery and yellow strip also painted around periphery of recessed area before base of nozzle; dual electrical ignition wires, with attached red plastic plugs, leading from one side of cylinder; wires with plastic insulation. Nozzle shows rust and other deterioration, including interior of nozzle.
