Space Age Landscape, 1969. The tall dark structure in the center is a gantry from the Mercury era that was replaced by newer technology and consequently left to rust out in the open. It is surrounded by the tropical jungle foliage of Florida that blends yellows and greens with black accent lines. The entire scene has a roughly textured look that accentuates the sense of abandonment.
