The central unit of the INSTRUCTOR-OPERATOR STATION is a set of cabinets, with a desk surface and display and control panels mounted on top. It provides the simulator instructor-operator with the means to control the simulator, monitor the performance of the flight crew, and provide aural cues required for crew training. The overall instructor-operator station (IOS) is a U-shaped console structure designed to accommodate three instructor-operators. This is the master central unit with independent fluorescent overhead lighting and storage space under the desk area.
