Watercolor painting on paper depicting Command Module Boilerplate Lifted, 15-16 December 1972. The command module (CM) boilerplate looks like a showerhead with water pouring from it as it is lifted from the ocean water after splashdown. The structure looks as if it is suspended alone in a void of sky and water that are darkened by the night. The yellow-orange ring around the base is the flotation collar. The water appears grayish as it blends with the blues, greens, and browns of the sky.
