Apollo 11, First Landing on the Moon, July 20, 1969. The control room is viewed through a glass window in the back of the room. In the foreground are the backs of viewers' heads. In the room in the middle of the scene are several rows of people positioned at consoles. The wall in the background is covered with four large rectangular panels. The one on the left has the image of a large hand, the middle two appear to be charts or maps, and the one on the right depicts an astronaut in his spacesuit. The scene is mostly black and white pastels on grey paper with few touches of color.
