At top in the border "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" is printed in blue with two small, crossed French flags. At top left within the illustration, "MINISTÉRE DE LA GUERRE" is printed light blue-gray; at top right, "AVIATION MILITAIRE." At bottom within the illustration in black lettering: "JEUNES FRANÇAIS Vous pouves accomplir votre SERVICE MILITAIRE LÉGAL comme." Below the illustration in large blue lettering: "PILOTES D'AVIONS." At bottom in black lettering is information about requirements and obtaining instruction.
