Jim Leisy's "Solar Eclipse" shows a literal side of science in the collection that humanizes the awesome experience of viewing the eclipse with the naked eye. The photograph also sets a precedent for the photographic media of a digitally combined Van Dyke print, which bridges both 19th and 21st Century technologies.
