Piles, December 4, 1972. A guard in green is standing to the right of two piles of yellow inflated gear aboard the USS Ticonderoga during Apollo 17. This recovery flotation gear is under guard for 24 hours while it is being tested for loss of air. A red, white, and blue box is to the right of the guard. The upper half of the background is slightly yellow and the pipes and other linear details along the wall are blue. Writing in the lower right corner reads: "Apollo 17 / USS Ticonderoga".
