Colored offset lithograph of a Sopwith Dolphin and Albatross in battle. The planes are aloft over fields with one firing on the other. Print of original watercolor by J. McGilchrist. John McGilchrist, 1893-1977, was a Scottish artist who served as a balloon pilot-observer for the Royal Flying Corps high over the battlefields of France. Shot down in flames four different times, he applied his artistic talent to documenting the images of aerial combat as he had known it. 'Published September 1st, 1920, by Messrs. Fores, 41 Piccadilly, London, W. 1'
