This is the retail box for a satellite phone manufactured by Iridium. Individuals, businesses, and governments (including the U.S. military) use these phones. They provide users with voice, messaging, and data services anywhere on Earth by connecting with the constellation of Iridium satellites in low-Earth orbit. The phones utilize the L-band, which enables successful operations in all weather conditions. Iridium donated the phone to the museum.
