Small horizontal-shaped cylinder attached to a copper tube. It resembles the vintage 1896 burner with the distinct squared openings. This would have been part of a more complete "Gasoline Burner" assembly with central copper tubing (boiler) components. Please refer to Vol. 27, No. 3, Pl. 12, Picture "M","Langley Memoir of Mechanical Flight", p. 57. However the burner also resembles those utilized on the vintage 1893 Alchohol Aeolipilie, Picture "B".
