This is an example of a standard issue Royal Canadian Air Force pilot's service coat issued during World War II. The RCAF adopted this 1936 pattern coat from Britain's Royal Air Force. There is no information about the specific individual that wore this coat but it was donated to the National Air and Space Museum by the Canadian Forces Attaché as a gesture of good will and international cooperation.
