This is a package of Soviet space cottage cheese. The cheese contained inside a plastic-coated metal tube to keep it in one place. The Poltsamaa Agricultural Factory in the Estonian Republic of the USSR prepared this food for use in the Soviet space program. It was not flown in space. An American donor gave it to the museum in the 1970s.
