Irene Dodd (b. 1941) studied art at Duke University and the University of Georgia, before becoming head of the art department at Valdosta State University. Her works typically depict landscapes or urban developments, either abstracted or displayed with realism. Dodd contributed works to the NASA art program from 1972-1990s. Dodd’s works are held in the High Museum, the University of Georgia, and other Georgia museums. Dodd is the daughter of another member of the NASA Art Program painter, Lamar Dodd.
