This bag containing orange drink crystals was designed to be worn inside the spacesuit during an astronaut's extra-vehicular (EV) activities. Water would be inserted into the bag prior to suiting up. This would then be attached to a drinking tube, and attached inside the spacesuit, enabling the astronaut to drink from the tube as needed.
As this bag was not flown on any mission, it was transferred to the National Air and Space Museum from NASA.
