This is a pre-production silicon integrated circuit of the type used in the Apollo Guidance "Block II" computers, installed on the Apollo Command and Lunar Modules. The circuits were designed by the Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation of Mountain View, California, and manufactured by Phbilco, at their Landsdale, Pennsylvania plant. Each computer used several thousand of these chips.
This object is on display in Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
